Friendship 24 Hour Care provides residential group home support for children and youth in Central Oregon. Our services cover the full range of a child's daily needs, from personal care and education to behavioral support and community involvement. Every service is delivered through an individual support plan built around that child.
A real home for your child
Our homes in Redmond, Oregon are designed to feel like exactly that -- a home. Children have their own space, share meals together, and take part in the rhythms of daily household life. Staff are present around the clock, but the environment is personal and calm, not clinical.
Each child's bedroom, meal plan, and daily routine are shaped around their individual preferences and needs. No two children are the same, and no two support plans are either.

Individual Support Plan
Each child receives a written support plan developed with input from their family, caseworker, and medical providers. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated as the child grows.

24/7 Direct Support Staffing
Our Direct Support Professionals are on-site every hour of every day, trained to state standards and matched to the needs of the children in their care

Personal Care Support
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and other day-to-day needs.

Meal Preparation
Meals are prepared in the home based on each child's preferences and nutritional requirements.

Medication Assistance
Staff support children with medication management and coordinate with prescribing providers to ensure consistency of care.

Medical Appointment Coordination
We work alongside each child's healthcare team and assist with scheduling, transportation, and follow-through on medical recommendations.

Transportation
Transportation in our agency vehicle to medical appointments, school, activities, and other community destinations as needed.

Financial Support
Through age-appropriate guidance, children learn how to manage personal finances, understand budgeting, make responsible spending choices, and develop skills that promote greater self-sufficiency in their future.
Supporting the Whole Child
Many of the children in our care have experienced trauma, behavioral challenges, or mental health conditions alongside their primary diagnosis. We approach each child's behavioral and emotional needs with the same individual attention we bring to everything else.
Services include:
Behavioral support and positive behavior planning
Counseling support and coordination with outside providers
Trauma-informed care practices throughout the home
Crisis support and de-escalation
Building Toward Independence
We work alongside schools and educators to support each child's learning while they are in our care. Inside the home, we focus on building the life skills that help children grow toward greater independence -- things like cooking, personal organization, budgeting basics, and navigating daily routines.
Services include:
Education support and school coordination
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skill building
Job coaching and vocational exploration
Community access and recreational activities
Family and Community
Placement in a group home does not mean stepping away from family. We believe the opposite. Families are involved in support planning from the start, welcomed for visits throughout, and included in regular team meetings. We also support each child's participation in the broader community -- through local activities, events, and social opportunities that reflect their interests.
